Main Street Flushing bank robbed: Police

FLUSHING — Police were looking for a young Asian man wanted in connection with a bank robbery at a TD Bank on Main Street Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect entered the bank at around 4:40 p.m. and allegedly passed a note to the teller demanding money, police said.

The man, who was described as 17 to 25 years old, with blond hair and a slim build, made off with approximately $500 and fled west down Booth Memorial Avenue, according to cops.

Police said the suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a black baseball cap at the time of the robbery.
