By Alex Robinson

State Sen. Toby Stavisky (D-Flushing) officially launched her re-election bid Friday afternoon.

The seven-term senator is facing a primary challenge from Flushing activist SJ Jung, who announced his candidacy Tuesday.

“I will continue to seek to do good for everybody in my district,” she told reporters flanked by Flushing elected officials, community leaders and supporters.

She repeated her commitment to passing the Dream Act, the Women’s Equality Act, and campaign finance reform.

Supporters hailed her record of advocating for women and the diverse population of District 11, which includes parts of Flushing, Bayside, Whitestone, Rego Park and Forest Hills.
