Flushing worker crushed by forklift in Maspeth: Cops

MASPETH — A 54-year-old construction worker from Flushing died after a forklift fell on his chest at a Maspeth construction site Tuesday morning, the NYPD said.

The Police Department said it responded to reports of an unconscious man at 58-58 56th Drive at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and discovered Min Baz Sik, 54, of Flushing, with severe body trauma.

He was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where the NYPD said he was later pronounced dead.

The NYPD said its preliminary investigation revealed a forklift had fallen on Baz Sik’s chest.
