Cyclist dies in Flushing accident with ambulette: NYPD

FLUSHING — A 60-year-old cyclist was hit and killed by an ambulette in Flushing Wednesday morning, police said.

The unidentified man was turning left from Parsons Boulevard onto 37th Avenue when he was struck by the vehicle, according to cops.

Responding officers arrived at the scene just before 10 a.m. and found the man unresponsive and unconscious, police said.

The man was rushed to New York Hospital Queens, where he was pronounced dead.

Police were still investigating the incident Wednesday afternoon.
