A 50-year-old man died shortly after police found him collapsed on the floor of an Elmhurst building vestibule with stab wounds to his chest Friday afternoon, the NYPD said.
The Police Department said it was alerted at 3:10 p.m. and soon discovered the victim lying on the ground near the entrance of 83-45 Broadway.
Officers said the man, a 50-year-old whose name has not yet been released, had multiple stab wounds to his chest.
He was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, according to the NYPD.
No arrests have been made.
The NYPD said its investigation is ongoing.
