NYPD, FBI on the hunt for boro bank robber

QUEENS VILLAGE — The FBI and the NYPD are trying to identify an armed man who allegedly robbed a Queens Village bank.

According to the authorities, on Aug. 22 the robber passed a note to a teller at a Capital One Bank, at 216-19 Jamaica Ave., and threatened to shoot the employee.

The FBI said the suspect displayed a black handgun in his waistband during the incident.

Authorities said the man fled on foot heading west on Jamaica Avenue after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.

He was described as a black man in his late 40s to early 50s, with a medium build and a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black Kangol hat, dark glasses, a blue and white stripped shirt and black pants.
