A 28-year-old man, who was behind the wheel of an SUV that fatally struck an Elmhurst senior Saturday morning, was charged with aggravated driving without a license, police said.

Abel Tinoco, of Richmond Hill, had been taken into custody soon after the 11 a.m. accident at the intersection of Grand Avenue and 69th Place in Maspeth, the NYPD said.

Police said at 9 p.m. Saturday that a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle had been filed against Tinco.

Authorities believe Tinoco was turning left onto Grand Avenue from 69th Place when the 2002 Mitsubishi Montero he was driving hit Angela Hurtado, 68, who was crossing Grand Avenue.

A witness said Hurtado had been heading to Maspeth Bingo Hall on 69th Place at the time of the accident.
