CORONA — Police have identified the man who died shortly after being found unconscious on a Corona street Friday as Amar Amador, the NYPD said.
The Police Department said officers discovered Amador, a 51-year-old Corona resident, unresponsive with trauma to the head at 11:32 p.m. Friday on Corona Avenue near 102nd Street.
Paramedics rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital, where the NYPD said he was pronounced dead.
Police said his injuries could have resulted from a fall or an assault.
The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of his death.
