QUEENS VILLAGE — A Queens Village man pleaded guilty to promoting child pornography on the Internet, said Richard Brown, the Queens district attorney.
The man, a computer technician working at a Long Island school at the time of his arrest, faces two to six years in prison when he is sentenced next January, said Brown.
“The defendant has admitted that he shared very disturbing pictures and videos of children being sexually abused by way of his computer on the Internet,” said the district attorney.
Brown identified the defendant as 28-year-old Ryan Ramdass. According to the charges, Brown said, the defendant had an external drive with images and videos of children being sexually abused.
The district attorney pointed out forensic searches uncovered thousands of images and videos of child pornography that had been downloaded on the defendant’s laptop.
