Sanitation employee charged with child endangerment after motorcycle crash: NYPD

OZONE PARK — An off-duty city employee was arrested Monday and charged with crashing his motorcycle with his 7-year-old daughter on the back, police said.

Edward Vazquez, 41, an employee of the city Sanitation Department, allegedly lost control of his bike Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Cross Bay Boulevard and Pitkin Avenue, police said.

His daughter was taken to a hospital but suffered only minor injuries, a Police Department spokesman said.

Vazquez was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
