The NYPD was searching for a driver who allegedly lost control of a white Mazda SUV and crashed into several people near a stop for the Q66 bus in Sunnyside Saturday night, authorities said.

Emergency responders were called to the scene on Northern Boulevard at 48th Street at about 7:30 p.m.

Five people were hurt including a seven-year-old girl who suffered cuts and bruises, a spokesman for the Fire Department said. Two of the victims were listed in critical condition, one was in serious but stable condition and two suffered minor injuries, the spokesman said. All five people hurt were taken the Elmhurst Hospital Center for treatment, according to fire officials.

The SUV driver allegedly fled the scene and abandoned the car about a mile away at 61st Street near 38th Avenue in Wooside, authorities said. The Mazda was found with a shattered windshield and the front bumper nearly torn off, according to the NYPD.

An investigation into the accident was ongoing, according to police sources.
