The United Black Men of Queens Foundation Inc. is hosting a ceremony Saturday at 10 a.m. in honor of its newly elected officers and board of directors.
It will be held at the Raddison Hotel JFK, located at 135-40 140th St. in South Ozone Park. A continental breakfast will be served.

At this meeting, the group will discuss the group’s strategic plans for 2014. The goal of the organization is to improve the educational and cultural climate young black men encounter while in the process of weighing their aspirations. They believe that achieving this goal will automatically reduce the harmful conditions that young black males face daily.

This organization was established in 1975 to represent the views and hopes of the black community. The members of the foundation are committed and dedicated to providing a path to success as model citizens for young men.

RSVP via the group’s website or by calling the office at (718) 276-1875 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
