A woman was killed after being struck by a Long Island Rail Road train Wednesday night in northeast Queens, an MTA spokesman said.

The 41-year old Asian female, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was trespassing on the tracks when she was struck by an eastbound Port Washington line train car as it approached the Bayside station from the west at about 11:30 p.m., according to the MTA.

MTA authorities and police were still investigating the death and have not released the identity of the victim, the spokesman said.

Service on the Port Washington branch of the LIRR was suspended at 11:54 p.m. and resumed at 1:46 a.m. Thursday.
