A 63-year-old Long Island man was attacked and robbed in front of U.S. Rep. Grace Meng’s (D-Flushing) district office in Flushing Wednesday morning, the NYPD said.

At about 9:30 a.m., two men approached the victim in a parking lot at 158-14 Northern Blvd., according to a police spokesman. The parking lot faces Meng’s office, located at 40-39 159th St.

They engaged the victim in a conversation and then punched him numerous times about his face and stole his cell phone from his pocket, the spokesman said.

The two suspects fled northbound on Northern Boulevard in a dark-colored vehicle, the spokesman continued.

The victim was taken to Flushing Hospital in stable condition, the official said.

The spokesman could not confirm news reports that the victim was an ambulette worker.

The first suspect was described by police as a Hispanic man wearing a black T-shirt, a black-hooded sweater, green pants and black sneakers. The second suspect was described as a Hispanic man wearing a dark-colored waist jacket, gray sweat pants, black sneakers and a black baseball hat.

No arrests have been made and the investigation was ongoing, the spokesman said.
