JAMAICA — A woman in her 50s was killed Tuesday as she tried to cross the Belt Parkway, the New York Police Department said.

The woman, whose identity was withheld pending family notification, was walking across the westbound lanes of the Belt Parkway near North Conduit Avenue around 11:54 a.m. when a motorcycle drove into her, police said.

Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead on arrival.

The driver, a male in his 40s, was taken to Jamaica Hospital and listed in serious condition, according to cops.

An investigation into the incident was ongoing.
