Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and finding a man wanted in connection with a string of bank robberies in Forest Hills and Astoria.
He is described as a man in his 20s, between 6’0” and 6’2,” weighing 175 to 200 pounds and wearing black clothing and a gold ring on his left finger.
According to cops, in each incident, the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded cash.
The first robbery occurred on January 2 inside a Washington Mutual Bank at 106-11 71st Avenue.
The second was at 118-30 Queens Boulevard — a Chase Bank — on January 8. A third robbery occurred on February 26 inside a North Fork Bank at 107-18 Continental Avenue.
On March 13, the suspect robbed the Sovereign Bank at 37-10 Broadway.
Thirteen days later, the Queens County Savings Bank at 30-75 Steinway Street was hit.
The most recent incident was on April 16 at the Sovereign Bank at 37-10 Broadway.
