Every fashionista knows that fall is the absolute best time to showcase your personal style: Warm enough that you are not encumbered by a coat, but crisp enough that you can dig out your favorite boots. Not only are iced coffees replaced by pumpkin lattes, but the entire city seems to become covered in a crust of brown sugar and cinnamon.

This month, the streets of Astoria showcased one delicious style story. That story was denim. From skinnies to dungarees, two-tone jeans to cropped pants, denim was the look of the stylish Astorian this month.

Skye was visiting Astoria from Florida with her mom. “We needed to escape Hurricane Irma, so we decided to have a New York adventure.” I loved the ‘90s feel of her outfit, with the ripped jeans and leather choker.

Ronyurys lives in Astoria, but is originally from the Bronx. Those two-tone denim pants are such a perfect fall update to the usual jeans we all throw on. Classic with a twist.

Zeni loves living in Astoria: “Everything you want is here!” She looked comfy and stylish in her dungarees, accessorized with festival beads.

Janessa just quit her job on a whim. “It must have been the solar eclipse!” she told me. Retirement seemed to suit her, though, as she looked fresh and fall-ready in her mustard sweater and jeans combo.

McKayla was on her way to her job in Manhattan and I was struck by her suede boots and matching crop top, perfectly framing those wide-leg jeans.

I’m not sure who she is, but I need her bag — the perfect complement to any denim ensemble!
